Nuchal Translucency

An NT (nuchal translucency) ultrasound is a common screening test that occurs during the first trimester of pregnancy.

This test measures the thickness of the skin at the back of the fetal neck and must be scheduled between 11 to 13 + 6 weeks gestation. The measurement of the NT, combined with 1st-trimester bloodwork is an excellent screening tool to help assess the risk of certain genetic conditions.

* A full bladder is required for this ultrasound.
