Gynecological/Pelvic

  • Uterus, Endometrium, Ovaries, Adnexa (transvaginal as required)

A full bladder is required. Please drink 3-4 glasses of water 1/2 - 1 hour prior to your ultrasound. We realize this may be uncomfortable...every effort will be made to complete your exam in a timely manner.

In some instances an Endovaginal Ultrasound may be required to properly document the female pelvic anatomy. Your doctor may request this type of exam initially, or the technologist/radiologist may suggest continuing on with this procedure. If an endovaginal exam is required, you will be asked to empty your bladder. A specialized transducer will be inserted a short distance into the vagina, and images acquired utilizing this method.
